has just cocked up the pc, lol.

I installed it last night, rebooted, and I got a load of messages about changes of scripts or something (sorry cant remember), it showed up as two pop ups showing reams of code changes regading the realplayer program.

I tried to open some files with the playeer and nothing happens. I try to delete the program via add/remove programs and it says the appropriate uninstaller cannot found.

I wanna get shut of this crappy program off my system, so what do I need to do? Is it a simple case of deleting the folder instead? but that womt get rid of the program in he installed programs list will it? I dunno.

Cheers

Sirius,

yuor best bet fella then is to system restore to the last restor point before installing it

start programs \ accessories \ system tools \ system restore

click restore sytem to an earlier time and select the date. that you want it restored to, it will reset all your codecs back and wipe of the real player as well fella :)

Sirius.

thank fuck for that lol

when you use the registry cleaner, it lets you see what your deleting, only delete obsolete keys and invalid paths or keys that do not have the application any longer ie youve uninstalled it.

you can scroll down to what you want to delete and what you dont etc......

btw yuoll find once you do a bit of cleaning your machine will double its speed well depends on how old it is lol

Not only does this realplayer piece of shit not work properly, its also gone and messed with my "real alternative player" by the looks of it.

I get this everytime I switch on, with an "okay" box at the bottom of each window pane. no, its NOT "okay"! lol.

seriously restore your system, it will take about double the time it does to reboot as you select restore and select the restor point, the pc shuts down reboots and then it automatically restores and bobs your uncle, youll be back to how your pc was before your installed it :)
