[QUOTE="Robbie Chopper, post: 748736, member: 5478"] After having my PC about 2 years now and after burning probably a million squillion discs off on the CD Burner its packed up. :@ (a while ago actually, i've been using an external one since but have decided to have a go at putting a new one in the tower. (lol this should be a laugh, i make Joey Deacon look like an Olympian !!!! :P) it runs as slow as a mo-fo and while its trying to burn, if I'm listening to anything on the media player it makes it stutter and go ultra slow. :( the PC is a HP with a DVD/CD burner thats got that "Lightscribe" shananigans on it, I've never used that once and coul'dnt really give a rats ass about having that. What i want to know is....well......everything really !!! lol 1. do i just rock up to my local PC parts shop, buy a reasonably priced DVD/CD burner and it'll fit ok, with all the same connectors on the back and stuff ???? 2. Is there a certain type i should buy thats better for burning music all the time (I've never burned a DVD off once since i've had the PC) ????? 3. Is it really as easy as my computer literate mates tell me it is ???? 4. will it be like my external disc burner whereas, as soon as its in and you go to burn something, you just choose the drive you want to use in the drop down box on your burning software ???? i.e. i won't have to change anything in my software, just slide it in, screw it in, plug it in and bish bash bosh, Bob's your uncle, Fanny's your aunt and cousin Dereck is a twat ! :D would appreciate any help given as i've never done anything like this before and i know a lot of people on here have :D cheers, Robbie.
