Requests- what do you do with em?

When you make a request for an mp3 - what do you do with em?

I personally request something when I've tried for years to hunt it down with no joy. I stick it on a cd for the car whilst I carry on hunting down the vinyl.
And for that point of view any things better than nothing.

any views? :S
