Fleetwood - twinned with Royston Vasey
Most people tend to put their feedback on Facebook nowadays but I thought I would do a review myself.

Firstly a big massive thank you to my mate Dave for helping out with the sound and light and for help keeping me half-sane in the week leading up to the night. We could not have got there without you. Apart from a minor problem with the sound system towards the end of the night we got there in the end.

Next, as always, special thanks to Ian and Lisa for giving me the opportunity.

To all the DJ`s - you all played a blinder, as I knew you would. You know what Retro-Trax stands for and you delivered it in spades.

Finally, to all the regulars and to the new faces that paid us a visit for the first time, respect and thanks for supporting this event in my hometown.

I have heard nothing apart from positive feedback and that folks is what makes it all worthwhile.

See you at RETRO-TRAX in 2011 !!!!

Well it was quite a messy one :) I loved the hip house played at the start from bod and ste Huxley and for me those were the best sets of the might as piano ain't really my thing, heard a few tracks that I ain't heard for many years which put a smile on ne face but I'll say right now that the sound system was one if the worst I have heard in many of years sooo much distortion with tins if base and top end but no mid range sound at all.... I can honestly say songs I owned which were played sounded out of key and vocals were pointless as I never heard any of them :(

Apart from that the club was mint really liked the set up, and not forgetting the chance to meet new people off here was great :) oh yeah and those teddy bears in glowing masks were rather cool lol.

Thnx for the night and the dj's putting the effort in ;) hopefully next time the sound system will do damage to my ear drums for the right reason and not the wrong one.

Chears all

It was a top night, really enjoyed playin the old hip house, warehouse stuff with the Bodster. The venue was well cool but yeah the sound system seemed to distort near the end for some reason??

Had a good laugh with peeps old and new and the DJs played ace sets, heard a few tunes that I thought, 'ooh thats good I wouldnt mind one of them'. Of course I have completely forgotten what they are now lol:king:

There was a nice and friendly crowd in there, safe ravin and all that:thumbsup:

Bigs ups to the organisers, Barrie, Ian, Lisa

Me and Jo stayed in a nice hotel and we even got up and had breakfast, HOW COOL IS THAT:D

Well done all in involved:thumbsup:

over there
Had an ace night, great to see everyone again and nice to meet a few new people

Loved playing back to back with Ste, thought it worked really well to say it was unrehearsed. Got a little hazy towards the end, drinking pints of vodka and coke in the broom cupboard saw to that :fekked:
Looking forward to the next one

Had a foookin belting night, after ending up at sam whites house and not Barries where I was supposed to, lol

We Finally got to Barries and set off to the club. Initial thoughts of the club 'bang on' nice lil hall with seating at the back and sides, reminded me of a club i used to go to in Halifax called the tram shed but on a bigger scale

Tunes were foooookin ace all night, Caught the end of Bod & Stes but it were shit hot what I heard of it!!! Then it were Biskits set which was full of italo monsters (downside of this set was the crucifiction of donna johnson which wasn't biskits fault, had somert to do with the sound system)

On next was Barrie (nob head) lol, playing some sneaky lil tunes which deffo caught my attention and went to the section of my head clearly marked 'i'm askin him what the foook was that later' lol

Pretty much went back to Barries after that cos had to drive and needed to get off mi face (and faindd out what them tunes were, lol)

Had a fooookin minter at Barrie's house, nice one mate, a great host as always!!!

Hope theres another there, it deffo needs another shot me thinks, this time alllll of you OSAers need to get there!!!

Or else, lol

Top night, nice to put a few names to faces...

Cheap beer, top tunes, no dicks = my kind of night

Bod and Ste did a really good job of warming the place up, some really good music from you guys

Wicked sets from all the other Dj's, was a shame about the sound towards the end, like Djay says, you couldn't make out what the tune actually was :|

All in all though, top night and I'll definitely be attending the next one

Oh and tune of the night for us was from Mr Barrie Jay, that little cartoon character record ;)

had a wicked night as usual, but it did seem to be missing something :(compared to the liverpool events. tbh its probably to do with the fact we got wasted the night before :$ and were a bit rough :$ or the ridiclous amonts of brandys i necked. :D
we hit blackpool in the afternoon, and it took as long to get from fleetwood to there on the bus as it did to get to fleetwood in the 1st place  it was an eye opener, never been out drinking in blackpool and now i know why, jumped off the bus into the 1st pub, brannigans :| it was rocking with everyone leathered hen and stag doos galore, couldn't belive how mad the place was at 3 in the afternoon, had a few beers at a couple of other spots then caught the tram back to fleetwood to save time, it took even longer due to a broken down tram in front  , eventually got back freshened up, then went into the mount, few more beers met loads of the regulars and a couple of new faces, djay, blackburnraver and his missus. then wandered round to the loft. what a smart little venue  set up perfect with the big music room surrounded by seating which i spent most my time sat on my arse bouncing around in my seat, and the seperate bar area just a stones throw from the action, the outside terrace was also great. bod and ste ripped it up with some quality hip house phones: then biskit and vertigo got me off my butt and on the floor. then the main man mr j had it pumping :king: those light up dancers were a great surprise. we ended up leaving between 2 - 3 as i was knackered :$ but all in all apart from being as rough as a bears arse from the night before, another quality retro night full of another great crowd. roll on the next one. and a big thanks to ian and lisa for putting these events on. and a big thanks to barrie for his usual warm welcome. and i still owe you that drink lol.

soz for the late review :$

cracking night , cracking venue , cracking crowd , cracking tunes from ALL the DJs ,

big thanks to barrie & dave

hopefully do another one sometime this year :D

next one in LIVERPOOL is 91-93 hardcore
