Up North, pint o tetley
ONCE AND FOR ALL I'M GONNA SORT THIS

ETCHED
NWKT DJ 40 A

black label, white hoops spiral
large white writing 'rhythm quest' ,
pink writing

'the dreams ep'

'closer to your dreams'

piano mix *
original mix **

hardcore mix
hybrid mix

Does anyone else own this version

*the mix you'll all know......but this 12" copy has a 'make some f***** noise' shouted 2/3 times after the whistles
I'm sure the original release (in the grey / yellow pic sleeve) doesn't have this in....... can anyone confirm ????

** is this closer to all your dreams ????
starts with a speech (eh???)
'disciples of dance...we are gathered here tonight in celebration for a moment stand and let the bass caress your body... we must unite to combat certain forces of evil trying to infiltrate our movement'......come closer to all your dreams we've got the power....you've got the power...so here is our message'

'Make some F***** noise' shout
then a thunderous hardcore break goes mental

Right the released version NWKT 40 doesn't even have the original mix on for starters, just:

a:
Closer To All Your Dreams, Piano mix

b:
The Dream People
Closer To Your Dreams, Hybrid mix

As far as I can tell there's no swearing whatsoever on any mix, which I for one am pleased about - there's just far too much swearing already in todays society and no one seems to give a jot.

Incidentally is it just me or is the Hibrid mix (Hibrid and not Hybrid btw - a mistake I noticed someone had made on ebay the other day - they're 2 separate groups - if that's not pedantic I don't know what is) not just the accapella of Mariah Carey over the top of the instrumental of Silver Bullet's 20 Seconds To Comply - ripping twats.

Hibrid & Hybrid is also Danny Hybrid (E-Lustrious, Direckt, Doo Lally D and a couple of others I foget).

If you look at the shout outs on the rear of 'Dance No More' they are to a bunch of people I used to go to school with... and the 'madison's possy' includes me and grad ;)

w00t... Astley is famous at last ;)

Hibrid are Danny Hibrid and Mike E Bloc.

Hybrid are 3 Welsh lads who've released stuff like Finished Symphony (sometimes played on the BBC - it was used when they showed the latest Lennox Lewis fight). They've also done loads of dead, dead good remixes.

Both bands are absolutely top of the shop in their respective genres.

lol, didn't know that.

but you're wrong with your hybrids...

hybrid are a welsh group, known for (to me anyway) lots of top remixes.
e.g hyper go-go - high - hybrid remix is not danny hybrid (hibrid?) but the welsh wonders.

there own stuff is very mellow, check out finished symphony, if i survive..got the album 'wide angle' somewhere.

aye.. but I've seen hibrid written down as Hybrid... or Danny Hybird... probably a typo, I just assumed he took both :)

Grad.. Danny Hibrid is Danny Bennett. Remember Giles with the dreadlocks? His brother designed the cover to dance no more :)

Just out of curriousity is 'Floorquake/Twisted Tambourine' by Doo Lally D worth anything?

Not a great deal. I think I saw it for £8 in Vinyl Exchange the other week. The original release of Twisted Tambourine by Hibrid sells for £30 on Hard To Find but you can generally pick up copies of that on ebay from time to time for much cheaper.
