You are starvin marvin, you have had feck all to eat since dinner and you have been on the green all night. Your very kind mate offers to go to the chipperippery for you so what do you get. You have just £2.50 left on you as its the day before you get paid. What will it be!

Chips : 60p small, 90p large.

Sausage : 40p small, 75p large

Fish on its todd : £1.35

Fish and chip spesh : £1.80

Barm's : (buttered with Battleys cash and carry marg) 30p

Peas and gravy : 40p each

All pies (Hollands naturally) 95P

Scallops (pot) : 30p

Spam Fritters : 80p (please order on entry)

Cans of pop : 60p

Forks : 5p

Me, it would be large saus and reg chips with gravy and fork, a barm and a can of diet coke. A bargain at £2.40.

:)

Lol

I was in Scouseland last weekend for Hazys...Grover popped out to the local chip retail outlet... I ordered a battered sausage n chips... he didn't know what that was - haha, don't you get battered sausages up North?

Anyway, he said "you're getting a sausage dinner"... Feck knows what that was... I got stuck in - how boss is that! Two decent sausages, feck loads of chips, lovely thick gravy, mushy peas and mushies n onions.

Deffo sorted the lack of food for 2 days

Wish we got em in London :(

"Whats a barm?"

Classic. Oven bottoms are ace too.

Potato Scallops.......wow, can you still get those where you live? Theres not many English fish and chip shops left round here, they are majority either chinese takeaway that do f & c as a side line, or young asian fish and chip shops (with bawdy neon signs and phsycadelic tiles) that do halal chicken burgers and kebabs/ pizza's with an occasional fish and chip serving now and again to keep the old timers and over 50's relatively happy with thier old fashioned friday supper fix.

The few ones that are left dont seem to do them anymore either :(. I used to break out of school at dinners and sneak behind parked cars and down back streets to avoid 'dinner duty' teachers on the prowl for a couple of those things most dinner times! lol.

Right, seeing as some things arent on the menu, Id go for fish and chips and a can of coke.......maybe spend the last 5p out of my remainding 10p on a fork.....even though they should be free lol.

A good thing about the chinese one on occasions is that you can just get chips and a bag of prawn crackers - absolutely delish, grab two crackers, wedge some fat chips in there like a butty and crunch. :p . Nice.
