In an interview I saw on abc, Sly said he'd been wanting to do it ever since Rocky 5 because he admitted it was poor in comparison to the rest.Apparently critics are having a field day slating the new film (as they've done on past Rockys) but one or two who have seen the almost complete studio presentations of the flick say the end fight in the film is the fight to end all fights!
