HI Benny
I got my misses a SatNav a cheapo one from Pc world, its actually very good.
it was a NavMan that was on special, so I got satnav, carrycase, recharger, bracket for £175 the same price as the satnav on its own.

It works really well and is really simple to use, it hasnt got anything fancy on like if the roads are busy it will tell you, but it certainly well worth the money as it will get you from A to B no probs  also it is very quick at recalculating the route if you go off route in a different direction and shouting at you to get back on route at next right or whatever.

The only downfall with any SatNav is that they can take up to 15 mins to get started, they have to find the satelites in sky first at least 7ish, some days are quicker than others like 5 mins, so make sure you prepare for this before hand, this also happens with all SatNav's not just cheapish ones.
hope that was usefull

we got our sat sav from PC World as well - it is an Advent GPS 400 and it cost £150

its come down in price again now and i found it on this dixons site so you can see what spec it is.
Dixons - Shop for GPS Recievers - ADVENT GPS 400 ALL IN ONE IN CAR GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM
I think they have stopped making this model now (we have only had it a few months as well) - they have done a newer one which is like this one from what i can gather. lol

this system got my brother from manchester to dover and from calais to normandy (france) and back home again without a single problem. He said it took the stress of finding his way there out of the journey
if you use it abroad then dont forget to load up the map for the country you want on it before going (via your pc)
its so easy - just drag and drop onto the memory card - it took 5 mins to get the french map on the memory card.

its so easy - even i can use it - :D ;)
