I baught a tune today you should prolly play, if u dont already ave it....Cotton Club 'Hear the Drummer' - bit modern for me (being 1993/94 lol) but its great and would be interested to hear if there was a good reaction to it oneday......

i like cotton club stuff mate aye - like the janice robinson children remix they did n that blue vinyl they did that samples the riff off young - choooon. at courtneys bud i play stuff that peeps wanna hear its kinda a mixture of old skool nu skool piano type monsters - with it bein a towny kinda place u cant really vear off n do yer own thing that much so i drop stuff like twist - il be there, house traffic - everyday of my life and then pull out pearlers that they wont have heard b 4 but i know will go down well n e ways like dj icey -triicks theme n that. as the night gets more established n peeps come there who r already into that sorta music i can go off on tangeants a bit more for a change but till then its anthem central n it seems to b workin well

Cheers bud... Its just that I was out around my local townage last night for the first time in donks and I just couldnt help noticing what a pile of w*nk it really is....no proper good tunes at all.
Suppose Im just showing my age, but 'trumpet' trance/hard house and 70's disco megamixes are just blagging my head in really bad style......"Im in the mood for dancin', romancing.........buda bu bu budupa du du duu", "Rockin' Robin" Jive Bunny, Wham! and "Its raining men" are now just too much to bare and PVD with every accapella under the sun over it is wearing a bit thin now me thinks....

Hence I was pondering that if Im not some sort of freak who listens to wierd music, perhaps theres a massive gap in the market in my area. Shame I cant really DJ anymore, Ive lost it for the time being.

But as you say, and how true it is, its the punters you gotta cater for first and foremost - however its a shame I only ever hear 5% of my record collection when out and about around town on a good night. Id DJ all night for the exchange of a few beers too.

Anyways, Im sure you will rock the joint bud. Stick plenty of piano anthemz on for me!, but veer off yer trusty steed once with anything u want just for me , variety is the spice of life!

My brothers m8 lives in manny and they go out every now and again, perhaps Ill tag along next time and swerve them into Courtneys. We are all ex-Angels go'ers so anthemz are the key!.

nice1 bud - aye i do drop the old wild one in every now n again its ht ebest way to do it like last night i played like jinny, k klass n sum other biggy n dumped in blapps posse - dont hold back n peeps were rokkin its all about tryin to get a decent blend of stuff peeps know n stuff they dont if u try n veer off 2 much they walk n with it bein a tony type place where peeps tend to go from 1 bar to another ur graftin all night to keep em in the joint - its right tho i take me trusty box of anthems n am doin pretty well at keepin the sod pots lokked in the joint.
