In particular the Commodore 64 & the SID chip... for those who had only experienced a BBC B or Speccy to hear the 3D wall of sound that could be created by the C64 was a mind blowing experience...

There's a fairly recent synthesizer called the Elektron Sidstation that utilizes original Sid chips taken from C64s. I'll see if I can find a youtube demonstrating one. Ed
