'Gear' is one thats caused a fair bit of confusion to me! As far as I was concerned Gear is heroin (the most foul and evil substance known to man ) but to most people it just means weed.

I had a major go at one of the lads at my old work a while back when he asked me if I caould get any gear for him and I had a big go at him about how he shouldn't touch that shit! Turns out he was only after a smoke and he thought I was well straight and didn't touch weed!

What do you lot associate with 'gear'?

I have in the Dam - it wasn't an oil though, just a resin - absolutely knockout resin mind. It was called Minali Cream and it was the most expensive hash at a coffee shop called Global Chillage (considered one of the top 3 in Amsterdam). I tried sending some back home by post but it never made it.

i dunno, the term 'gear' around here just basically refers to whatever u might be getting for the circumstances and doesn't mean any particular substance.

for example, going out clubbing the 'gear' would likely be about 10 pills, a quarter and a bag o showbiz; staying in for a mashup 'gear' may mean pills, alcohol, weed and a bag o showbiz; going to alton towers or somewhere like that and 'gear' would likely mean pills, weed and a bag o showbiz for later...

as for weed terminology we just tend to call it whatever type we happen to be smokin (e.g. pass the orange or lights or whatever, or pass the plastic-riddled diesel-shite now n again unfortunately)

Gear is pretty much the same meaning round here too Skippy. It used to refer to Heroin (evil, evil shit) but now has a multitude of meanings.
