I have found a load of tapes with songs I want id-ed on. I have opened my copy of sound forge with glee but alas it isn't recording. The sound source is coming through the speakers but when i go to play back what I've recorded there's just interference with a bit of clicks. Any ideas? as it has worked fine before!!!

in your sound properties change the record source over to line in or aux or mic depending on what you use. This could be in the normal windows sound properties ( the mixing table ) or in the software it self. Then it should be cured
