Soundcloud Track ID Question

After Barrie Jay highlighting the problem with soundcloud track id when uploading mixes I was wondering.... is it possible if you re-edit a track add some new effects and subtly change the compostion will the ID system recognise the 'tracks fingerprint' as in theory you would be changing the waveform...

Ive not had chance to try it.. anyone got any ideas ?

Its an interesting one... I have not run into the upload problem myself. The only problem I could see with it would be if the system would throw up 'contains elements of...... copyright owned by EMI' which is a possibility I guess.

Might pull an obvious track out later and mess about with it see what happens...

Just had the same issue. It's a right bummer, Soundcloud need to sort it (like Mixcloud) or I think they'll start losing people.
