just got back tonight after 11 days, deliberatly went for that long to get 2 sundays at space in,have loved the place for years but got to say me and my friends were utterly disappointed,i think the world cup obviously played a part in the european contingence not being there with the usualy wacky people from all over but even so i think they've got it wrong this year the music with jason bye and john ullysses in the open area section was at times commercial bollocks with the sound system being so low that the atmosphere was basically flat! last year they programmed the day/night so itwas just a constant rolling rythmn building up towards the night,it just didnt happen this time, so into the terrrace we went to my utter astoundment they've closed off the top area as a vip<what the fucks all that about> there was about 10 people in there, the only plus was paul woolford who for me is floating the sundays at the moment with his cutting edge sounds he plays,if darren hughes doesnt sort it out quick sundays at space in my point of view it will fast lose its edge for good,im back in ibiza in 10 days and i wont be going space:naughty:

Yep i have to say i wasnt impressed with it last yr...too expensive for me nowadays :( and far too many 'look at me types' :|

Had a better time during the day if im honest getting trollied up bora bora ;)

hope you have a better time next time.....

Thats really bad :| Hope they get it sorted.
The Space opening party on 05 June was packed (only downside was John Digweed's boring set of numbness).
though, apparently a week later the 15 year anniverastry party was dead.
It seems that only the opening and closing parties are the only attraction for all the Europeans at the moment.
Hopefully going back 24 September for a few days - Just hope Space is good but the real reason for going back for me is DC10  :fekked:

i know i heard that too, shit innit coz i thought that was the best bit
hate it wen they do crap like that, sum 'so called' vip areas that are just dead, wats the point? waste of space (pardon the pun :) )

see i didnt rate the music in there that much anyway, spesh after all the hype i had heard about it. but i was bit naive wen i went to Ibiza, thought it mite still be 'kevin and perry' stylee!! :condom:

I went Ibiza last year for the 1st time for the closing parties, it was superb :thumbsup:didnt make it to space though!!!
enjoyed the old cliche of going to watch sun go down at cafe del mar ( you got to when your there, cant beat a jug of sangria and chilling out ) however found a bar next door to the Manumission bar the following day that was playing loads old skool whilst the sun was going down
