Stylus sign Jason Boardman as 3rd resident!
Jason first began playing records back in 1989 at early house parties in Yorkshire. At one of these parties he caught the attention of promoters, Donna and Steve, from new house night Hard Times. He was quickly brought on board to play occasional slots in the downstairs room at Mirfield. From the beginning Hard Times was a pioneer of quality house and can today boast at being the first ever night to bring MAW to the North of England for their 1st birthday.
Having played alongside nearly all his musical hero’s, Jason has learned his skills from the best. This was highlighted in April 03 when he warmed up for Louie Vega, a set which brought him to the attention of one of The Guardian’s journalists, who later said that “Jason was one of the best warm-up DJs” he’d ever heard.

Indeed, warming-up is an art in which Jason has become fluent and his modest nature enables him to not concern himself with ‘getting noticed’, but to focus solely on the crowd and music.
He's also been resident at Yellow, Hacienda and the early days of Robodisco.
Prodution wise he's released many tracks under his 'Truant' guise with Ben Ashdown, most noticably on Paper Recordings.
Currently a resident of the ever popular Aficionado at Arch Bar in Hulme, "Aficionado has always been very much our own personal idea of Balearic music," explains Jason."It's a Manchester version of Balearic."
Drawing on his arsenal of hip discs of every genre Jason is a dj with an old school Mancunian attitude and fresh ideas.
So expect a more open music policy from us in the future, although our taste will still be firmly House, with Jason on board you can expect many different flavours

With a live Congo player and live guitar fx's added to his perfromance we once again welcome Lee back to Stylus.
Anyone who saw him last time will know it was only a matter of time before he came back to take over the Shack.
His show is fast building a reputation for itself and we're all excited to see what Lee will bring this time around.
