[QUOTE="discobiscuit, post: 343453, member: 692"] Since we started our Thursday night soiree we have had a guest on nearly every week, from Hed kandi to the Audiowhores, from The Rhythm Junkies to the Damentalists but none of these DJs has got us as excited as this week. He was Resident at legendary Blackpool night "Zone" where he played alongside such young pups as Sasha (before he'd ever heard of Shelly's or Renaissance) He was Resident at Angels in Burnley alongside Paul Taylor, when Retro wasn't the commercial fodder it is now. He Taught Original Feel legend George Thompson the finer points of mixing, including such techniques as "taking off the rubber mats and replacing them with slip mats". He's been a guest DJ at Empire in Morecombe, Fun in Birmingham, Life at Bowlers, Wigan Pier, Ark in Preston he's even Warmed up for "The Prodigy" He's been absent on the "Old Skool" scene for many years, find anyone who was into "Rave" around the early 90;'s and its guaranteed they have a "Matt Bell tape" Go surfing on some of the old skool websites and he has the demeanor of a mythical DJ, no-one knows what where he is, no-one see's his names on any posters, and why he stopped playing "old skool". Of course in Preston Matt Bell is fondly remembered from his residency between 1994 and 1996 in Feel's back room, where our very own resident Matt Rycroft could be found on the dance floor throwing some shapes with the 100's of ladies his room used to attract. After he left Feel Matt hung up his headphones, returning only to help his Good friends from feel launch "base" where he held court for a couple of years every Saturday night. So For the First time in a long long time we see Matt bell dust of those famous classics, check if his headphones still work, and step back into the DJ Booth. Every man and his dog is coming out for this, Promoters are returning from London, People are booking the next day off work, Freejack is even taking the night off Djing (for the 2nd time in 10 years) for fucks sake!
