I am the only person who think these are scary? Its the whole darkness and booop booop noise. Although i have always been a lover of terra firma in general, these scare me way more than big ships.

I was watching something about subs the other day, and apparently if it starts leaking all the doors seal shut. So you could be trapped in the leaky bit, and just have to sit there in the dark waiting to drown. That's well shit innit? And what would be even shitter is if you were sealed in a safe bit and you had to listen to your mates drowning in the next room. That's making me shivver just thinking about it.

Don't think I'l be joing a submarine crew. :|

Didn't find them scary at all.

Went on one down in Portsmouth, and it was amazing the space inside!
Grim though, that they'd be in there for months at a time, and not have the luxuries of showers and a decent toilet :S

Always loved the noises though, one was used on an old track on R & S "Enemy Missile" think it was.

Zig (from Zig & Zag, big breakfast) used to love submarines (useless fact for ya!)

Submarines are the devils work. I hate anything sea fairing though, I dont like that sea/harbour/docks smell :hurl: lol.

Mind you, if was a choice between a submarine and a helicopter, Id probably pick a submarine. Helecopters are lethal, especially the twin rotary blade ones - avoid them like the plague people. The only time Id go in one was to be airlifted to hospital - but I doubt Id make it without falling out the sky in one of those buggers anyway!.

Buuuu Boop! Buuuu Boop!.

Guess the "Hunt for Red October" isnt a fave film then? lol

Sirius.

i have worked on submarines, they r horrid, intresting, but horrid, two places to get out if u r lucky, and when the air cond. is fooked and there is weld fumes and killer argon leaks etc, it aint good, and thats when it is docked! they aint the nicest places to be, id hate to be a crew man on one. the ships arnt as bad as they av more places to get out at and more ventilation. shipbuilding isnt noice.....very dangerous!!!

LOL aye - I live in Portmouth (well the posh bit with the 'beach'... sunny Southsea)... its mad driving into Pompey down the M275 coz you drive past the 'submarine graveyard' & theres no way you'd catch me in one of them things... glorified tin cans... hate enclosed spaces... summat like pot holing makes me shiver just thinking about it.... :S
