guys....my laptop died last week, the hard drive is totally locked and not fixable...lost everything, all my old school remastered tapes from Shelleys, Hac etc...a fkn load of my stuff from over the years that I have been digitally re-mastering...gone, and quite a few of the original tapes just disintergrated in the process, still have a few recordings on Soundcloud but not lovely clean wavs...all of the stuff I have bought and sold from Discogs etc....gone....fk me , what a cruel way to learn the "back it up lesson"

Site looks good though...lol...feel like crying...so don't be a nob like me, back it all up boys.

well...it can be done, but has to be sent off to a specialist and done in an air tight enviroment etc...£500 to pull the info of it ... it's stored in an anti-static bag in the hope it will become more affordable in the not too distant...but fk fk fkty fk...lol...and it cost £120 to sort out with a crappy 150gb HD...still, good to be back online though, my fingers don't work with mobile phoneternet.

I've lost 10's of thousands of tunes and photo's to hard drive crashes over the years so I feel your pain mate:( Heard all sorts of remedies for fixing hard drives though, such as freezing the dead drive, so check out every avenue first, including trying the free software for accessing unresponsive drives if the spindles are moving.

Good luck with salvaging anyway mate. Hope all is not lost.

this one isn't even spinning...and yeah, after a day of downloading I seem to have a lot of it back, can also retrieve some more if any of the cds I gave out over the years still survive...but all the remixes and self edits are the wounder.
