I am really sorry to hear that mate and as GINGKID75 said, cherish every single moment. My mum was diagnosed with secondary lung cancer summer last year and was given roughly a year to live. In December, after more tests, she was told the cancer had spread to her brain and they didn't even think she'd see Christmas. She died last Saturday, cremation was on Friday. It seems like only last week when we were told she had lung cancer, when it was over 6 months ago, and although it has been the worst 6 months of my life you have no idea how quickly it has passed. There were days when I stayed away because I couldnt face seeing her like that. My mum, who I loved so much, suffering and there was not a single thing I could do to help. But I so regret those missed moments now she has gone, and would give anything to just be able to go back and spend as much time with her as I could/should have done. My mum used to always say to me "when you lose your mum you lose your best friend" and it's only during this last week that I have realised how true those words are.
