Tried calling them today and they told me that letter was provisional and I need to wait for the official one to come. But honestly I was truthful when I gave them the details I took all the details from my P60. I really dont understand how they can screw up and expect people to pay back such a large ammount. Hell life is rough enough with being raped for 18% tax each month, I do as much overtime as i possibly can just to try provide a better life for my family but mr taxman just says thak you very much for your hard work. What realy pisses me off is that my sister recently lost her job and is now on jobseekers allowance, applied for a furniture grant this morning for her new council house and got awarded £2500 and dont have to pay it back. I asked for help with my mortgage during hard times and was promptly told in a nice way "get tae fuck" as they wont pay on a personal mortgage. Makes ya think whats the point in working half the time. No wonder so many bums on society in this country when it pays not to work. Ah well life goes on and I start a new job soon about a mile from my house so saves the fuel from a 44 mile journey daily and £1.50 more per hour. Got my family and thats what matter in the end :)
