Got one of those "team building" efforts today at work, we're all off to some remote location to learn how to become more effective as a team, and to learn more about the group (awww, group hug, group hug - YUK!)

Personally, I would've just opted to go to the pub for a few!...

I hate these things!...everyone gets on for about a week, and then it's back to the usual taking the rip n' backstabbing each other!.

Still, better than working I suppose. Just as long as there's no roleplay....

EEuuggh I hate those things, full of management school bullshite and usually of no use whatsoever...

How accurate was the training day episode of The Office (for anyone who saw that)

I was supposed to be on a training course on Thursday and Friday this week but it's been cancelled - damn shame - not!!!

They make me laff.. we went on one and they say all this shit about you being trapped on a desert island and you have this items and have to survive.

It was funny, my team was working on a method of turning sand into water... the instructor was not impressed that we spent 1 hour 30 mins doing that :)

The instructor said to one lad, what is your role in the group.... he said that he was lunch, he had planned to die and we all could eat him. The instructor said we didn't have the ability to cook but the guy said he had a lighter in his pocket and when he goes on holiday he always take a wooden crate... lololol

I think the instructor nearly had a nervious breakdown.

Phil.. follow our example, teambuilding = join together and destroy the teacher !!!

Not really into these things, especially not all the role playing nonsense, but got to say that we had a fekkin brilliant one in work where they basically paid for us to have a full week in the Lakes doing various outdoor activities & it happened to be the hottest week of the year, so it turned out just like a paid holiday. Got absolutely wrecked each night, sunbathed by day with the odd bit of canoeing/absailing/building rafts etc. thrown in. Shit hot!
