Trance was once describe as Ambience with beats, which was once not from far wrong, but now there's so many different genres! I mean, who thought of putting a nice singalong in a trance tune and calling it 'Vocal Trance', or inventing a slightly different sound and putting it slighty more uptempo and calling it 'Goa trance'.
