We are waiting for VB3 to be released before we do a full revamp of the site and the board .

Butty's been working on various things in the background but until we know whats involved exactly with the new version of the board there's not much point in implementing anything ..

Thats the latest lazy arse excuse anyway !! lol ...

VB = V Bulletin which is the software that drives the board .

Version three is due as a beta release very soon , it's been delayed for one reason or another which is why things are taking longer than we thought ..

Butty:
Just don't use VB3 Beta or I will, erm, someone will own you ;)

Fantazia:
VBulletin is a PHP/SQL style board similar to postNuke and phpNuke and you will find that Visual Basic is 6 is quite old now. The current version is VB.NET 2003, I think ;)

Oh i know vb6 is getting old, but not everyones got on the back of .net yet.

Im going to re-write my site in asp.net, in the next year, microsoft is dropping all its perfectly good old systems to pursue the .net platform.

Bill, how much is enough,..can you not make do with 64billion.

I know exactly what you mean mate... I still use VB6 which makes me three versions behind the current version I think? I believe you have to 2005 before all support disappears.

I just gave up and started using Perl instead, does everything I want in less lines of code than VB. I'm struggling with C at the moment to do some more low level code but it doesn't half confuse the fsck out of me :)

LOL, did a cinema booking system in C a while back.

Its not the easiest language to pick up.

I tend to stick with the easy scripted languages like VBSCRIPT and JAVASCRIPT.

I had the choice to do OO C++ at college last month,....i passed and went for the information management systems class instead.

You start to go mad after a while dont ya
