What are the 10 tunes which would describe the old skool generation - say in 10 years time, some one listens to them and they get a snap shot of what it was like during that era........here's mine based on my experiences from 91 - 94 (and they are not my top 10 favourite tunes either, I have carefully selected them to hopefully provide a flavour of the era)

1. Shades of Rythm - Sound of Eden
2. S Bam - Chica Boom
3. Oceanic - Dream Tripper
4. SLD - Getting Out
5. Gat Decor - Passion
6. Inner City - Pennies from Heaven
7. M People - How can I love you more
8. Jimi Polo - Better days
9. SL2 - On a Ragga Tip
10. Selecta - Move Your Body

and 2 substitues

11. 50 hertz - Get Up
12. orange Lemon - Dreams of Santa Anna

Any suggestions?

I hear ya about Oceanic's classic.........I did debate putting it, however, its in there for a reason to give the future listeners a flavour of what we experienced. Not one of my faves, probably because its been hammered over the years. Its still better than half the shite I hear in clubs these days. I remember when Galaxy 102 was a great station.....

Any one remember Sunset FM?

Whats your 10 individual tunes which can merit telling a story?

Too rite, I could probably give another 24 and still have more in reserve.

I sold all of my vinyl records in '95 to help get enough money for a deposit on a house. The worst thing I ever did. I still get tears in my eyes now thinking how silly I was. I think I only got £250 for over 200 records, most of which were classics, Dj promo's and white labels etc. and £500 for 2 x SL12's and technics mixer, still I got the house. I lost touch with it all for a few years, got a new computer, Traktor software and started collecting CD singles.....pah, not the same! Ive got a few rare ones tho'

I'd love to visit an old skool club such as the ones mentioned here, but I just dont want to be dissapointed and compare it how it used to be.......What you think?
