URGENT FOR CLUB OWNERS/PROMOTERS/DJ's/ALL Clubbers

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A.S.B.O.( anti social behaviour order ) the owner or appointed manager, knowingly or unknowingly, conspired to, either, and or, supply, distribute or use, of, on his or her premises on 1 occasion:Class A drugs.

Any pub/club/bar whatever- licenced or unlicenced is now, for any reason, a target for a raid.

This is unbelievable................... could this be the start of a hate compaign against all our clubs or the dance scene.

Oh my god...i fear for all clubs................

We need to start an ASSOCIATION or somethin to combat this

If they start doing stuff like this to clubs, all that is gonna happen is that we will all go illegal again. Feck the criminal justice act and feck the government

If you want to combat this then how about we get a website together where people can register and sign an online petition against it all.

I can do one for you if you want, basically it will just be a small forum with 1 part as a petition, everyone will be able to sign the petition once only, and they can use the forum part to express there views about whats happened.

Anyone else up for it?

IMO theres only the certain handful of clubs that are at risk right now. . and from what i know with workin closley with the managment at our club . . a lot of clubs round our area spec ours have good relationships with the local police force and city council . . and i dont know the total ins and outs of it all like but i do know that clubs have to be seen to be tacklin the drug / voilence problem that is aorund today in many many clubs all over . for instance take our club . . . . when our bouncers ( who are extremly proffesional & friendly unlike many ive seen . lol ( may find someone in possession of class A subtances for instance they have to be taken from them / the incident logged / the drugs then put in these plastic bags that the local police supply u with ( bit like an evidence bag ro summat ) and then handed in to them along with all the paper work from incidents logged within a certain time period say ( not like some bouncers ive come across that would just keep them and sell them on in a club or pass em to the local dealer in there .. lol no club names mentioned there ;) ) the same applys for violence etc ( as most who come to our nights will know we very very rarely have any what so ever , cos the trouble causers or ppl who u know just out to cause shit will not get let it ( we dont need bussiness like that , seems a lot of clubs just let who ever in nowadays . . lol )
clubs have to be seen to be doin something at least to try combat the drug and violence issues , its when they show no effort or appear to turn a blind eye . . . yr gonna get problems and they gonna come watchin you ;) so theres only really one place the blame lies with imo

imo the clubs ive visited over the last few years seem not to care in fact some stuff ive seen in clubs is beyond me .. lol if clubs just took a better attitude and at least tryed to make it look like they were taclkin these probs head on , they wouldnt be half a bigger problem as there is now !!!! .... i know a lot of clubs are gonna be shittin there selfs after what happened to monroes .. ( being an after hours club that sells no beer and opens till 9am in the morning wouldnt have helped tho . lol cos its plainly obvious what goes on in there isnt it ?? )

sorry to hear this has happened to monroes tho . . wouldnt wish that to happen to any club owner . . ( havin met Ian many times when i held two goodtimes nights there in 2001 )

Do aggree with that Ben mate,in all serious thou the effects this could have on clubland will be much worse than the criminal justice bill did.
if the police are sucessfull in their case it will give them a new weapon they can use against the dispised clubber.in saturdays case one person in a club caught in possesion was another for the club to be closed and the owner locked up in jail.the police would rather lock up an innocent man than admit they got it wrong
the owner ian jackson is still on remand in jail. it is discusting that the police are making him a scapegoat for their poor results and waste of taxpayers money.
monroes was opened 15 years ago as a legal alternative to the blackburn raves and the police have been trying to shut it down since. the truth is the police have a vendetta

we need the support of clubland in general on this because it could have devasting consequences for everyone.the monroes members, djs and staff are united in full support for ian jackson and planning to protest at his unjust jailing, the unfair new law and the police vendetta.if u can help in anyway: info@monroes.me.uk moz@monroes.me.uk na@monroes.me.uk

alternativly u can express ur disgust to the tit of an mp who is delighted at it popegj@parliament.uk

Fictitious Analogy:

I own a small licenced resturant in a little North Yorkshire village. Unbeknown to me, on saturday afternoon a local scally called Crispin was having fish and chips in my establishment.

The village bobby had a vendetta against this rich young lad and knew that Crispin liked a bit of coke.

On the off chance, the bobby came into my little resturant, searched the young lad (As is now within police powers) and found 30 quids worth of charlie on him.

It is now Thursday, 5 days later and i, a 64 year old little lady pensioner, am still in police custody.

The young lad was given a caution, as it was a first offence and he has a rich daddy.

My business is still closed and i face a trial and prison sentence for allowing what went on in my resturant.

Welcome to police state Britain.

Lette to the MP. by: pete daley

First message starts at the bottom of the page!

Thank you for your reply Mr Pope, as to respond to ur email i'm not a constituent as i live in Worsley in Gtr Manchester. I'm just a bit confused by quote' Mr Jackson's case is sub judice.' So i'm sorry but i dont understand could u please elaborate some for me....

I was at court in Accrington this morning-and i must say the sooner we get to crown court to try and get these 'instances' that the police and crown are putting forward as evidence against Mr Ian Jackson- then perhaps the better. As believe me they are sumwhat miss-guided in the extreme, i mean to take an example, a 14 years old girl fitting from being in or club-? well that's funny when she didnt even get in our doors- she started wobbling as soon as she got out of the taxi that brought her and her friends there.

Mr Jackson has asked for there to be a police presence on the door many times including trained police dogs, but then the poilce would be helping MONROES and they wouldn't do that now would they.

There has been on a number of occasions, to which i have been privvy to, various amounts of drugs been given over to the police. So if u say we couldn't of assisted the police in quite frankly untrue.

There are ,Mr Pope, many arguments forthcoming i would imagine in Mr Ian Jackson's defence here- so i would ask the decient collegues that you have close to you in local goverment there- before they hang him- could they please just give him a fair trial!

Thank you in advance. Mr Peter Daly.

Dear Mr Daly,

It is difficult to respond to your e-mail as a) it is not clear that you are a constituent of mine and b) Mr Jackson's case is sub judice.

Best wishes,

Greg Pope MP

May i introduce myself: Peter Daley Dj/Promoter of Monroes Nightclub- All i am tryin do do is highlight the fact that this tough new A.S.B.O. can and will b served upon any club/pub up and down the country-

Mine monores-Great Harwood,Blackburn.Lancs. is the first in G.B. to be served with this notice-

3am police came in 'blazzing' batting 50% of our clubbers onto the middle of our dancefloor. Made uz stand there with our hands on our heads- told doormen if u have anything in ur pockets, drop them on the floor whilst we aren't looking!!!!! who else knows what the police did.................
150 clubbers were told they would b searched and let out soon as- all together 7 people were arrested 5 for motoring offences 1 for an outstanding warrent and 1 for possesion.
Over 200 extasy tablets were found on the floor as well as, small amounts of Draw and Whiz- thats less than 2 each.................

Now because this happened, and under this new ruling of law(ASBO) the person responsible was our boss Ian Jackson- a 59 year old man, with a crippled wife at home whom he looks after.

Now, he was arrested and is charged with (ASBO). He has been remanded in Preston Prison untill Tuesday-

A grossly unfair thing this is- for a small amount of drugs siezed! Now over 20 people are out of a job- Ian Jackson is an inocent man and a very anti-drugs man at that- want witnesses 50 will testify this.

Thank -you for taking the time to read this i appreciate that u have a busy schedule. I would be gratefull for a reply.

Ye that was my bro'. His missus dreads it when i come home on one of my quick jaunts. Knowing he'll be :fekked: for a few days. :D
Actually she said she's glad to get rid of him for a couple of days LOL :)

If you see Jaxxy tell him i still can't stop laughing about his two monkeys in the bath joke.

Hopefully i'll squeeze another few days back home July / August :)

Paul :)
