Not far from Tesco's
I hate it, just another excuse for the shops and restaurants to rake it in at the expense of us blokes!

Easter is bollocks also, all those fucking chocolate eggs, you cant just buy one each for the kids can you? Oh no it has to be 17 or something! Then 2 months later they still have shit loads left

Xmas, dont like that either really except for the break you get and some half decent TV and a few bevvies. It's always the sodding same, I have to fork out shit loads on pressies for people I dont actually like, anything in return? Like fuck:mad:

Halloween is ok.

Bonfire night is a bit of fun.

Hmmm

Oh how I wish i'd conserved some cash for this time, he'd be getting whatever he wanted :luv: , but god knows now!

We're just going for a meal etc (standard), its a school night so can't get up to any real antics, will have to save it all for the weekend :gigolo:

Oh, and i'm a massive fan of Vanlentines Day, and all other festivals, Easter etc, any excuse for a celebration and a bit of fun :)

Yep, I'm with Buzz on this - it's an excuse for Hallmark Cards to make a shitload of money - and us guys have to go along with it or get earbleed for what seems like ever. Clever bastards that thought of it though - I bet they're f*cking minted...

This made me think of the other buggers who prey on a mans basic need for a quiet life, and not to piss his woman off - the rose sellers that come round the pub late doors. Wind me up a treat they do. Does the girl you're with really want the rose? Clearly not, since she'll leave it in the taxi on the way home. But if you dare not to buy one, you can feel the waves of hate/hurt (not sure which one is worse tbh) coming at you like laser beams...

I'm single now, by the way. ;) :D

HA HA I am so glad that I am not alone on this :D

As you mentioned Mixster "cards" fuck me they wind me up a treat, I would rather spend the couple of quid on a small gift than a crappy bit of card with sad & pathetics words inside, they just clog up the mantle piece and end up in the bin.

Definitely, but then V.day doesn't stop you doing it at any other time anyway, just gives you an extra reminder, brings it to everyones attention, which I reckon is lovely  .

lol I buy cards for people for every occasion going!!! Birthday, Christmas, get well soon, thank you, or just a blank one to write my own message. My ex used to take the piss out of me like mad for this lol

It's clear that the men are the ones who are against it and just think it's a con. Even if there were some that liked it, they would never admit to it, miserable fuckers!!!

As for me, I love it!!! I think it's a great excuse to go out with your loved one and spoil them rotten

upgraded to Didsbury!
I always dump someone or get dumped right before Valentines Day!

So aside from my Dad sending me a rose and blagging it aint from him, or my wierd stalker sending me everything, under the sun, once again I reckon this year will be a top let down.

I did have one beautiful valentines though. It was the year I was dating Grad. Not only did I get a big card and some gorgeous underwear, he also uplaoaded a mix on osa called the love love love mix that he made with me in mind. In the same month I got taken out for a meal and then whilst we were hung over the next day in bed, he told me I had 2 hrs to get ready, what for he didnt tell me until we got there. He didnt really do the theatre yet he booked it as a surprise just for me... it was one of the most romantic nights ever:love:

Whoever he's with now, is one lucky bird:thumbsup:

Now that is nice- just because it was so thoughfull. Its not the cost, just the level of input to let someone know they're special (ed in your case:p ).

Btw, according to his mysapz its someone called Bikini Jane, and a reet looker she is an all. Go Grad, go Grad!
