Vertigo tapes

Hello all.

I'm after a couple of Vertigo tapes from 1992 - they were actually sold as Sasha tapes down in London but the man like Alan OldSkool tells me they're actually Vertigo. Hilarious - thought my favourite DJ of all time was Sasha but it turns out he was Vertigo!

The first has the following tunes on: Bassheads - Back to the Old School, DLM, D:ream (instrumental with accapella over the top), Nush. The second has: SLD- Gettin outm, Alabama 3, Sunscreem - Love U More, Baby June (and I think U2 even better than the real thing).

I'd be prepared to pay reasonable cash for good quality copies, so don't be a stranger - get in touch!

Moved to "wants" Jules mate - seems to be the home of tape trading

Did Alan mention the titles (Vertigo used to name the mix tapes back then). I got a few - off top of me head:

Better Days
Vertical
Bottled Up

Erm.. erm...

Also got a few live recordings - Ark tapes and at least one from Town & Country Club in Leeds.

I reckon you're gonna struggle though if Alan doesn't have em - he must have enough tape to go round the world a few times

Vinylanimal Sir, cheers for the reply. Yeah, I've got a few of the Vertigo tapes from Alan. They are Better Days, Vote Party, Found, Goodtimes, Laughing and one from May 1992. Unfortunately tho, Alan hasnt got the tapes I talk about below.

Do you recognise any of the tapes from the titles of the tunes above? One of them starts with Back to the Old School, while the other has Sunscreem - Luv You Move on. Have recordings of one side of each but they're crap!

Cheers for the reply mate. Have lots to trade on MP3 (Soulseek and WINMX) altho am out of the country for another 2 weeks, so will have to wait. Have lots of old sasha esp. Do you know whether any of your mixes fit the above desrciptions?

hmmmmmmmmmm, its been a while since Ive listened to the vertigo tapes, I'll have a listen over the next few weeks in the car, Im out and about a lot so I should get time. I remember them being pretty good!
