Dont do it they are exstortionate prices, there are plenty of pressing plants out there, far cheaper. If you wanted to make any money you would need to press about 800/1000 vinyls. Going by these prices you would need to be millionaire. I pressed a couple vinyls, Wellys 'Soldier of Bla Bla Bla' & another cheeky one I best not admit to incase of copyright laws. Each vinyl cost me £3 each, I then sold them to a distributer for £4.50 each. Simples :gigolo:

That said if I were like Silks & Scott & Tim & producing my own music I would deffo want summat tangible & pressed up.

Not for those prices lol

I suppose £25 for a one-off is pretty decent, but fuck paying £1670 for 100 copies. That's just stupid. You can get at least twice as many pressed properly for less than half that.

This really no longer interests me as I've got Traktor Scratch Pro so anything that isn't on wax that I would've pressed up (Rules mix of Soul II Soul as an example) I can play on timecoded vinyl on me decks.

Yep Agree Mark, I wouldnt normally be so mad about pressing up a Vinyl but its just the fact that I wont be in the UK forever and Would just love to have my own work of Wax, one of lifes goals, So it would only be a one off, Not expecting to sell many at all so a limited press run would be great (Not at those prices, lol) & deff would not be a money maker, Im expecting to loose money but its more than just about cash.

Tim what company were you think of getting your tunes pressed? And you need to do this fella, You have a queue of people waiting to get there grubby hands on your tunes! Me included.

Fleetwood - twinned with Royston Vasey
I played a tune at Retro-Trax in Fleetwood that me and my mate Dave produced (don`t think anybody noticed apart from the very few who had heard it before).

I used this place to do a one-off. Good service and the sound quality was good. Far better lifespan than an actual acetate too.

Was good to have a tune that nobody else had.
