Hmm kind of agree yeah When I properly starting raving early 1990 a lot of tunes out at that time blew me away, and really opened my eyes to the tunes. Went out to a couple of raves in 89 as I was just old enough but 1990 kicked it all off for me. I couldnt believe some of the tunes I was hearing. Sub Sub - Space Face, Mental Cube, Frank De Wulf, loads of belgian pumpin house madness, all them dead good piano tunes, JJ Tribute, SLD, DJ Herbie etc etc Same in 91 as well, 92 was more into breakbeat hardcore, then when it split into drum and bass or happy hardcore fooked that off and got back into house, 93'ish, think house had moved on then, into more modern sounding if you know what I mean. There are some brilliant tunes that fall after 92, loads of them. But I categorise those tunes differently in my head! Im gonna go for 88-92 as the ultimate era, cos obviously Ive picked up loads of tunes from those years that I missed at the time and it makes you realise how much quality stuff came out. Yep 88-92 is the golden era for me in old skool:thumbsup:
