wav to mp3 convertor

Can somebody recommend a free wav to mp3 convertor please?

I was using Waver v2.95, but the trial period expired

I use streambox ripper.

I can only rip my records to wav (using my Archos AV440) so hopefully using this will help me get some of my records converted into mp3's

I think i'll try the 'eac' one Skippy , as unfortuantely I can only find a trial version of 'Steambox Ripper'
