Wow! We have an absolutely gorgeous little girl called Jemima. She is really amazingly cute, and she was born with a Mohawk that’s about an inch tall! She has great big hair and the most lovely face ever. She was bloody big too, just short of 10lbs- and so easy to give birth to, the midwife only got here (homebirth) about half an hour before she popped out. All that worry and it was over and done with in a few hours.
I am totally obsessed with her already, its kind of like being in love. I can’t stop staring at her and very rarely put her down. I can’t believe she is ours to keep forever, and feel perhaps like we don’t deserve such a perfect thing. I hope she gets the best bits of both of us, its crazy how I want the absolute best for her. She is so mean to us as well, really grumpy but the meaner she is the harder we try! We are as good as running around like idiots every time she even makes a noise.
The sleep deprivation is hard, and I can’t even remember what life before was like. A quick 5 min shower is now such a treat- let alone the hours I used to spend in the bath with a book. Despite this, we both adore her and can’t wait to have more. She has changed our lives for the better, she is ace. She smells like almond paste or something, i have never smelt anything as nice is my whole life- i love sitting and kissing her and breathing it in.
I will get Jonno to put some pics up as soon as we get chance, I know all parents think this but she really is the most amazing looking baby ever.
