well i flew out on saturday especaily for this and as i expected it was amazing
things were already rocking at 4 clock when i got in there and when it got to 12 i had the ultimate surprise of hearing danny tenaglia for the first time i thought morillo was good but this guy took the piss ive never heard such rythmatic tribal beats and basslines it was relentless the new sound system on terraace was banging which just added to it.
i will have to say its the best ive heard! so heres to space the best club on the planet for me with the best women in the world strutting there stuff roll on next june

i think the terrace is awesome i dont think it has quite the same atmosphere as the old one but i think the outside captures that spirit the new terrace with that function 1 sound system is where you can really lose your marbles im not quite back down to earth yet and ill probably have space on the brain for a few more weeks!

I went to Space for the first time the week before - We Love Sundays with Groove Armada and Fatboy Slim.

I have to say I was really dissappointed!

We got there at about 5pm and the outdoor terrace was suitable jumping, however the vibe was really agro. There is so much coke washing around Ibiza that it has really put me off. The inner room was great (Smokin Jo etc) and the Function1 rig and laser sure made for some entertainment.

We spent most of our time in the new terrace - a sterile aircraft hanger of a room. Yes the sound system is awesome (but then they have one at Stealth in Nottingham so hearing Function1 is nothing new for me)

Fat Phil Cooper was great - 2 hours of fine chicago!

Groove Armada were fab, as expected. Big tracks, lots of atmos! The place exploded when they play superstylin.

David Guetta was pants! Music by numbers euro trash!

Fatboy Slim played his harder/techy stuff... although we really could have done with his cheeky party stuff.

By the time Norm came on the old terrace had shut and the new terrace was absolutly packed - we were in there like sardines - almost unpleasant.

Overall it was just way too packed to be enjoyable. How can you have fun and enjoy the music when the closest you can get to dancing in a kind of wobbling on the spot whilst jostling with a sweaty crowd.

Maybe I missed something.
Maybe I am just getting old! :$

But Space for me was just not as good as I thought it would be. It did not live up to its reputation.

Still I did manage to blag a couple of drinks vouchers out of Pepe the owner!

That was the day we left the island.....i can fully understand where u are coming from....i preferred the old terrace anyway.....why try n fix summat thats not broken.....ill be honest and say that i was also disappointed with a lot of the club nites out there......sonme due to the gear bein absolute shite which is prolly why u see more charles worth floating about...that was the only decent gear we could get hold of......far to many i love me's for my liking....give me hazy anyday

Ibiza is well over rated and well overpriced...ive had better nites in my living room saying that....there were a few a good bits to the jollies.....seing deep dish at pacha was mint.....but i have to say i far prefered getting whalloped during the day.....bora bora is super, spent loadsa time there getting mashed n pissed and playing bat ball in the sea with dan.....that was fun.....my best times were spent during the day

really enjoyed being down Kanya, mambo n cafe del mar too....again a day thing.......and catching the sunset on the vid cam was the only thing i was really worried about but we got it before the battery ran out :$ pheeeeeeeeew

Its defintely not what it used to be the last time i went in 2001 it was alot better, certainly from the gear point of view, was off my pickle all the time, where as this time, it was only the Guianluca Vialli which was worth having as Northern Star said

I still love ibeefa but Im not going to be rushing back in a hurry, specially not with them prices, if i totalled up what I spent, it wasnt much less than going to Vegas for a week!

i must agree on the fact that its very pricey given the fact i just blew 500 quid this wkd and yes the little fellows are pants but the md is rocket fuel i dont bother going out in the uk coz nowhere takes my fancy as i like to hear a different sound where the nearest i can get to that localy is sankey soap so for me going to ibiza 3-4 times over the season is all i need,pachas an excellant club but space just captures that raw wherehouse vibe,my mrs was in space last sat when fatboy was on and said he was dreadfull,tbh some of the best times ive had in there is when some of the lesser known jocks have played as for being packed out and not being able to move avoid subliminal at pacha coz it'll take you 1/2 hour to get to the bog!

Relieved to hear it wasn't just me missing a trick.

Interesting what you are saying about the bit and bobs out there. We managed to get hold of some very nice things (Rolling Stones - 5 hours in pasha on just the one with a smidge of mud! ) and the MuD was fantactic. Even managed to get hold of some greenery which made for some pleasant evenings starring at the stars...

I wish we had made it down to DC10 - so many people have said it is the place to be! Next time maybe... if there is a next time!

ive gotta say i went to dc10 for the first time in july and it was good similar to space amazing on there terrace but inside is just to dam dark as in you cant see past arms length,i went back 4wks later and was put off for life i dont wish to upset anybody but theres a massive gay contingency in there and when your off it and im talking big blokes as in sted nature 3 at a time snogging and rubbing each other up its a bit to freaky for me plus the fact its rammed towards danger levels so ive gotta say its a thumbs down for me

We love sunday's is ACE!!!!!!! It was the best night I've had for years. I bet the closing party was a stormer!!!!!! I'm deffo gonna go back next year too!!!! I even brought a "Felix da Housecat" tune after hearing him there.

Went to the 7th of the 8th we love sundays groove armada etc, gotta say i had a bloody stomer, best nite ive had in a while if not ever. This was my first time tho in ibiza. Went to DC 10 at about 11am after space and the terrace hadnt opened yet, lost my marbles big time and couldnt hack it so chilled outside in the carpark in the sun off it. Kept on goin in and out but the music was a wee bit too minimal for me and couldnt get into it. The terrace opened but wanted to go home at that point, wish id gone in to look at it now cos with it being light in there i bet i would of chilled out a bit. I think we went to early too because it wasnt rammed at all when we were there. Should of stayed on boro boro and got more pissed,then gone, and not of took all those dibs lol. Oh well always next year

Went to Ibiza in 2002. I thought the place was an absolute shitehole. Music was superb, especially Retro at Eden (loudest club ever i've been in!)
I remember watching a documentary about Ibiza back in 97 which had that twat promoter from manumission bragging that Ibiza was the Don of the Universe (get a life will ya)
I went Aiya Napa - Cyprus before i went to Ibiza and it was 10 times better ,cleaner, hotter, cheaper and less agro....
