sitting here well hungover in my dressing gown and the doorbell goes. Its some geezer who I'd just won a record off hand delivering it cause he said he only lived up the road. On boxing day without prior arrangement and he'd already charged me £2.75 post and packaging.
Didn't really have a chance to think about it at the time cause it all happened so quickly. Now i'm thinking it was pretty odd. Geezer has 100% positive feedback

well his standard rates are prob just £2.75 so just think of it as his time and prob petrol. At least you actually got your record!! and it wasnt stuck in royal snail mail for a fortnight. The fact he actually dropped it round is great (personal service), cant get a faster delivery than that, lol

It is odd - but its christmas............and he was prob out and about and passing and decided to try and see if you were in so he could deliver it.

id let the postage charges drop simply because if he had posted it then you would have paid that anyway.

hope you have had a really great christmas :D

If you buy of Ebay and it says £2.50 P+P or whatever when you have won the item you have to pay it simple as that, you really should'nt buy then complain no matter what P+P probaly includes labouring just as long as you recieve the item...........

I sold a tune to a guy in Germany and he did'nt recieve it,so i said give it a bit of time so after a few weeks i refunded his money.......

really sure of the relevance there. I was really making a point about somehow turning up on my doorstep without being invited or prior arrangement on boxing day

I don't think i'd mind to be honest, I can see the upside (getting the record quicker) but maybe if it was somebody's house who's vulnerable it could be a problem.

Buying records on eBay gives people access to your address though and if they're that way inclined, it's possible they could pop back around to get their record back when you're out.

Keep a copy of his address so you'll know where to go if your records disappear;) :|
