look at this correspondance between me and a ebayer ggrrrrrr read from bottom up

I don't really understand what you mean. You think i'm gonna say they didn't get here if they did? But you'll already have the cheque for them so it doesn't affect you at all whether they get here or not?

they have to be sent recorded otherwise i dont know if they got there at all

Okay. Erm I don't want recorded delivery. I just want them sent as in normal post.

the post for 2 records is 4.00 this is recorded delivery and there is no come back if they are damaged in the post as recorded is not insured

if paying paypal add 3.5% for there fees

other wise just send cheque

I see that i've won into the future from you as well. If you can give me a total for the pair with standard post and packaging pls. cheers fella

thats for special delivery,,,

u can have it cheaper but it wont be insured against damage.....thats means if it gets damaged in post you cant get your money back,,,,

Hello mate.
How do you justify £3.99 for uk postage and packaging? I know I should have seen it in the listing and it's my responsibility to read it but that's ridiculus.

I not sure either - but if it is £4.00 for 2 recs + recorded then that sounds good to me

just out of interest -I use these when sending

when you send something you can get a -

certificate of postage - this is free and will insure (in the UK) you for any parcel that goes missing up to £27 - had to claim a few times - no problem

recorded delivery - 63p - this gives you the same protection as above - but requires a signature at the other end (although this can be you, yer mum, a neighbour, the postman, a man walking his dog just happening to pass by etc) -

special delivery - £4.00+ - insurance up £250 - same as recorded delivery for sig - BUT the posties are a lot more less likely to nick these (goes through a slightly different system than normal post) - this is very safe and should be used for very rare or valulable items - ones that you would be gutted that if they got lost - ie LAN etc

i ****ing hate the post office spent approx £500 in the past 5-6 weeks in their

can only say the same a ben

get a 'certificate of posting'

i send out all my parcels with one, that way i can prove i sent it out, i can recliam upto £27 (which i've done a few times) no problems at all

the only reason to use special delivery is if you've got a rare vinyl

such as ray love 'robin wants revenge' on techno kut
that it shattered into about 8 pieces

post it to a mate
and then make a claim on it

OJ

and this postage lark, £2 for uk postage what a rip off

its never cost me more than £1.09 or £1.30 to post a single 12" inland

oh er........

I do not agree with people charging a supplement for PAYPAL

The seller uses Paypal for thier benefit - it attracts a wider net of bidders etc etc.

If you take the "surcharge" for winnig bidders to the extreme you would have sellers adding surchge if winnig bid exceeds a certain amount " to cover the percentage that ebay charge for items".

okay peeps let me explain

I won a record off this chap. I am the BUYER here. He says 3.99 for one record. I say why? he says for registered post I say i want standard. He says i don't do standard record might go missing. I say that's my problem not yours. he says oh no u might leave me negative feedback. I said i'm more likely to leave you negative feedback for not offering standard post. Anyway. he still won't back down so I have to pay him now and not only that. I will have to get out of bed at 8am to sign for the f**ker
