Ok this can be any song, not just old skool

But ..... you can only have one song

mine is, and dont laugh, because I think this is just wicked

Rod Stewert - Maggie May

" Maybe I should collect my books
and go back to school,

Or, maybe steal my Daddys cue
and make a living out of playing pool "

WWWiiicckkked !!!!  :guitar: :guitar:

all of pink floyd lyrics!!!! ( not much of a surprise there!!!!!)

but my fav at the moment is

Wish You Were Here (Waters, Gilmour) 5:17

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skys from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade
Your heros for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

Such a COOL track!

Errrrmmmmm....

Well it certainly won't be:

"I'm as serious as cancer when I say rhythm is a dancer":axe:

I could post loadsa Macc Lads lyrics but I won't :drevil:

I think my fav lyrical song ever is "That's Entertainment" from the pen of Mr P Weller - pure poetic imagery:

"A police car and a screaming siren

A pnuematic drill and ripped up concrete

A baby wailing and stray dog howling

The screech of brakes and lamplights blinking, I say that's entertainment.

That's entertainment

A smash of glass and the rumble of boots

An electric train and a ripped up 'phone booth

Paint splattered walls and the cry of a tomcat

Lights going out and a kick in the balls, I say that's entertainment.

That's entertainment

Days of speed and slow time Mondays

Pissing down with rain on a boring Wednesday

Watching the news and not eating your tea

A freezing cold flat and damp on the walls, I say that's entertainment.

That's entertainment

Waking up at 6 a.m. on a cool warm morning

Opening the windows and breathing in petrol

An amateur band rehearsing in a nearby yard

Watching the tele and thinking about your holidays, that's entertainment.

That's entertainment

Waking up from bad dreams and smoking cigarettes

Cuddling a warm girl and smelling stale perfume

A hot summer's day and sticky black tarmac

Feeding ducks in the park and wishing you were faraway, that's entertainment.

That's entertainment

Two lovers kissing amongst the scream of midnight

Two lovers missing the tranquility of solitude

Getting a cab and travelling on buses

Reading the graffitti about slashed seat affairs,I say that's entertainment.

That's entertainment"

just got rushes up my spine

reading those wish you were here lyrics fabulous. hhmmm what are mine

"I want to take you somewhere you've never been. I want to taste you and play a tamborine."

"Just a perfect day, you make me forget myself. I thought I was someone else, someone good."

"I'm going when the sun keeps shining through the pouring rain. Going where the weather suits my clothoes. Banking off with the north sea wind, skipping over the ocean like a stone.

"I wanna hold her wanna hold her tight, get teenage kicks all through the night."

"Here I am, here I am waiting to hold you.
Did I dream you dreamed about me?
Were you here when I was full sail?"

"I'm gonna put on an iron shirt and chase satan out of earth. I'm gonna send him to outer space to find another race."

"and it's 1 2 3 what are we fighting for?"

"I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in"

"Come sail your ships around me
And burn your bridges down
We make a little history, baby
Every time you come around "

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small,
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all.
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall.
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall,
Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call.
Call Alice
When she was just small.
When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low.
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know.
When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead,
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the dormouse said:
"Feed your head. Feed your head. Feed your head"

HAD TO POST THAT ONE IN FULL CAUSE IT@S SO DAMN GOOD

JESUS COULD HAVE SPENT ALL DAY ON THIS>>>>I'LL GET ME COAT

Written by A A Milne and sung by Kermit's nephew, Robin.
I reckon this is just a childhood memory thing - people who know it love it, everyone else just thinks you're weird!
I downloaded it recently from audiogalaxy. Top tune only for the headstrong, heh heh heh.

Halfway down the stairs is a stair where I sit.
There isn't any other stair quite like it.
I'm not at the bottom, I'm not at the top.
So this is the stair where I always stop.

Halfway up the stairs isn't up and isn't down.
It isn't in the nursery, it isn't in the town.
And all sorts of funny thoughts run round my head.
It isn't really anywhere, it's somewhere else instead.

Halfway down the stairs is a stair where I sit.
There isn't any other stair quite like it.
I'm not at the bottom, I'm not at the top.
So this is the stair where I always stop.
