god i am so with you on that one!!! - i just got a quote for £2800 from my private dentist to out right some work that was done by an NHS one - also i need to start wearing a brace again on my bottom teeth cos they are going back out of align and im gutted
dunno how i am gonna pay for it but i need it doing.
Tell me about it ripping off swines, i had these stupid teeth removed cause i need a bridge and payed £180 for the removal and temp dentures (have to wear them for 6 months) and now ive been told that i have to pay another £180 to get the bridge fitted and if that bridge fails then i will have to pay another £180 to get the next type of bridge..grrr i wish i had just blooming well left well alone..........piggin nhs prices supposed to be fair...my arse! Give me a some dosh and away to Hungary to get me some implants (at half the price they charge over here £600 per tooth compared to £2000!!!)
A friend of mine had his teeth done in budapest (veneers) and they look amazing he has the most fantastic hollywood smile ever!! i so want mine to look like that lol - anyhoooo i am so considering just hopping on a plane and having my work done at a fraction of the price as he can obviously recommend the dentist he went to! i might even have enough left over to put a deposit on a new car then too, heheh
sorry to hear about ur dentist troubles though DEEDEE, i really hope you get it sorted as it really does knock your confidence doesnt it. Mine was also caused by going to an NHS dentist and she did a really crapola job of a crown and its caused me nothing but probs and now i have to have the whole thing redone and its an even bigger job than the original one as he needs to build me up a whole tooth in porcelain. gutted is not the word and if it had been a back tooth id have thought stuff it but as its one on the side and u can see it when i smile then it has to go and be redone.
