When he left it all went to oldskool (70's - 80's) indie for me.
Then tried 1xtra so I could still be down with the kids but in the last month or so it's gone all shite and two mainstream, kanye and all his buddies etc...i fookin hate kanye's music..but that's just me. Plus, there's only so much dappy my ear holes can take in one day ! Sayin that, in the last year the uk hip hop/grime scene is pumping out some great stuff, gotta search for it but there is talent there.
So, did a random choice and have now been on Jazz FM and fook me, what a truly wonderful station, I would highly recommend it to the older crew on here. Mon-Fri 09:00 -17:00 it's never been mellower in my office
So many true original talents, i't's not saxophones and out of time trumpets and double basses at all..just pure quality.
I may be biased as I love my soul and funk but again, some cd's Jazz FM have arranged.
