who can tell me about this place??

i was working round aintree and noticed a huge nightspot closed down called the paradox!!
ive heard of the club years ago,but cant remember if it was a place that held any decent events,itd make a wkd venue now if it got cleaned up.
anyone know?

i only went one a few years ago, they were playing charty dance crap but did have a smaller room that was playing old skool. the layout of the club is fantastic and agree with you about it making a fantastic venue, i didnt even know that it had shut down

thanx deedee,it looks like its been closed a long time,iam sure it got shut through trouble,but its still standing,with name outside,clock on tower thingy,and a couple of pikeys set up on the car park to give it that authentic "yes were still closed look"
i was sure a big promoter was there sometime though,thanx anyway

Paradox was one of the First Lesiure units , lost it's Licence after many objections from local residents.

The club was home to the huge Main Event nights where the likes of Lee Butler , Davy T , Pez Tellet etc etc used to play.

First Lesiure tried for a while to get the licence back but I believe they have now given up .

i went a couple of times.it was a bit crap and cheesey but that maybe because it was on city fm and attracted beer boys
