Sounds like badly configured internet explorer, or maybe a firewall blocking something?

I've had it on 3 pc's and it's spot on

Xp Sp2

Put it on mine, but the firewall conflicted with my 3rd party one, so I gave it the elbow- mind you I think when you remove SP2 i think it leaves the security patches on and removes the firewall and all the gubbins...

Can anyone confirm this?

I switched off the windows firewall but I was still being blocked, I had that program alg.exe running in the background which a google search showed that I was still trying to run xp firewall with a 3rd party one.

As I don't trust MS one little bit you could guess which I removed LOL.

I'm holding on for a while and waiting for the various vendors to catch up with SP2 and fix their own products.

I'm just gutted they've removed the raw packet stuff because most of my tools rely on it :(

Well, installed it on an AMD XP2000 system, MSI KT3 Ultra 2 Board, Radeon 7000 Graphics Card, Default XP Installation, and it went on without a hitch. Have to say it's a  from me!.
