I need it to run broadband so i can get off bloody dailup wich lets face it is utter jiz.

Thanks in advance,

Lesley***

what do you mean support broadband???
Broadband normally comes with its own setup disc. This should be all that is required to setup Broadband. Maybe a couple of drivers if they are missing but they could be download from the internet.

What is the computer running at the minute?? Windows 95

Well, are you sitting comfortably? Good then i will begin.........

*lesley adopts west country accent in style of spazzy teen from little britain*

About 6 months ago i bought a broadband instilation set from blueyonder- only i went for the 'wireless' pakage as i didnt want naff cables running through my recently renovated victorian house. So you get this little ariel thing to put near the set top cable box in the living room, plus a mini one for next to your pc (its connected to the pc by plug in thing). And thats how it works- i have heard its a bit shit as it easily picks up interference from passing cars etc (not sure if my friend was winding me up on this one though:$ ) And anyway when i came to install the disc, it just wouldnt run- so i call tech support (now free thank god as i am a broadband custo) and he went through it all with me- then said the problem is that you need windows 98 sec ed for it to work. Bastard eh!. So for the last 6 months i have been paying £15 a month for dail up, £25 a month for broadband and the thing is not even working!

So please send it me:)

Bit of a chicken and egg situation innit, I cant send you a CD cos I currently have no writer, and you cant dowload it easily off me without Broadband! lol. Id have to nick the works's disc and copy it anyway cos I binned 98 and 98se a long time ago cos it was so poo and nothing I wanted to install would run on it anymore.....mind you, I do run some industrial strength programs :).

I reckon you wanna get off that nasty windows 98 anyway! lol. Stick win2000 professional on if ya dont want XP Home edition or somet. XP home is pretty good for those who are not brill at computers I reckon, but thats just my opinion.

Does your Wireless Broadband thing use "USB" sockets?, cos early sockets and windows 98 are notoriously shite at USB 1.0 connections from what Ive heard.

If you ever manage Broadband and wanna upgrade at some point, I'll let you nab a new operating system off my FTP if you like. Obviously you will need an adeqaute to half decent PC to run it smoothly though.

Looks like Bens ya man anywayz

Used to have Debbie does dallas too. Shame. I dumped it ages since. Got some nice Playthingz series though ;)

Whats your bag anyway? (no not porn, lol) Graphics, CAD, Music Programs, just mp3's? lol. Just so I know like. I do CAD and music apps mostly, although Im getting behind on music apps at the minute lol.

Of course, all items are solely above board and legal, and demonstation Cd's and for educational purposes only. You would be requied to uninstall and destroy any other material under 24 hours. :p
