Windows XP Language Bar

Hi all.

Ive redone my PC recently and just got some stuff all running smoothly, so far so good. When installing windowsxp pro sp2, I chose the United Kingdom options for the language and keyboard settings on the installation dialog box, GMT hours, Pounds Sterling etc.....

.....however, every time I reboot or sometimes just randomly when Im using the PC it reverts to American English and " becomes @ and all that malarky, so I click the EN language bar and click it back to UK and then it works okay for a bit then it goes back to American .

Its well annoying. lol.

Any idea's? Perhaps a poltergiest is in my machine

have you tried changing the settings in "Regional & Language Options" which is in the control panel ?

Set the default language to English UK and then remove the american profile altogether.

If you have office installed, you will have to change the office language settings to default to english uk aswell
