Morning guys

Slight issue with I hope an easy answer. My pc has mediaplayer 10 on it, and I have a pocket pc which acts as my portable mp3 player, a T-Mobile MDA Compact running Windows Mobile.

To get tunes on to the storage card on the ppc I need to sync it with mediaplayer generated playlists. I've downloaded a fair amount of stuff off soulseek (for evaluation purposes ;) ), but when I build the playlist not all of it shows. eg there's an album which I can see in Windows Explorer on the pc, 10 tracks showing as winamp files, but only half show on the playlist in mediaplayer. How can I get so I can see them all and then sync them? It's driving me mad to be honest.....

As a secondary I can't get rid of mediaplayer 10, much prefer 9, but that's another story

Sounds to me as if you are lacking in some codecs which are not allowing WMP to reproduce some files. Are u sure all the files are mp3 and not mka, mkv, ogg etc ?

Taking one folder as an example they all show as Winamp media files. What I really don't get is I download a full album as a folder via soulseek, so it seems a fair assumption that someone ripped it as one folder in one process. Wouldn't this mean that the same codecs would be used for the whole album? I can only see half of it in the playlist builder.... weird.

Any thoughts?

I ran a winamp library find command type thing which changed all my tune icons to wmp, would that effect things? I tried to reverse it by doing a library search in media player which had no effect. Struggling to be honest.

Appreciated Myk, but maybe I haven't explaiend the problem that well. I can play them on the pc, but I can't get them to show on a playlist to sync to the device.

I'm slowly getting there I think by changing some properties, will keep working on it and let you know.

thanks again Myk.
