Hi, can't believe I've missed out on this site for so long! Will try to keep this brief(ish) as I give you all a bit of background - Started dj'ing in 1988 in a small seaside town called Barrow-in-Furness with a very talented man called Gripper. He had already been putting on nights for a while and had a great reputation around the town. He kind of took me under his wings and we did nights together for a few years, 'Megablast' & 'Yummy' being two of the towns biggest Thursday nights out. The Blackburn warehouse parties in those days will always stick with me as some of the best parties I have ever been to and, of course, memories of the Hacienda / Quadrant Park / Thunderdome / Precinct 13 are still fresh in my mind. I moved to London in '92 and continued to do bits where I could until I was introduced to a pirate radio station which was then called 'Heart FM'. Pirate's were pretty much playing all the same kind of stuff but we were playing everything and had a great bunch of DJ's spinning all styles of dance music which I think made us stand out. The legit Heart FM came on the air so we change to Face FM and then morphed into the worlds 1st internet pirate radio station - interFace. Through that I was gigging pretty much all over London and the highlight of those early years was an 8 hour set at Glastonbury in the mud for the since defunct Journey's by DJ's. Spent a couple of years working for City Sounds records and represented them at the Miami Winter Music Conference a couple of times (another highlight for me!) before starting a small label called 'Upskirt Records' moving to Ibiza in 2003 which was a dream come true. A successful couple of home grown releases - two of which Roger Sanchez charted for 6 weeks solid - and a successful 1st season out there with a joint residency at Savannah's, gigs at Mambo's and my own residency at Cafe Paradis was followed by a cold winter and a less successful 2nd season that saw me return to Blighty. Label releases dried up and giging slowed down. Marriage, kids, moving house and moving cities pretty much stopped it all but I have no regrets. Pretty much all my records are now in storage but as I've recently bought a Vestax VCI-300 controller and started playing around with mp3 files (Oooo, the shame of it !!) but this has ignited the fire again and I've started to did out all my old mix tapes and hope to get some new stuff underway. Anyway, I started by saying I'd keep this brief which I haven't done, so apologies for boring you all to death. It was always about the music for me, I never wanted to be famous, I just wanted to play music. I've never lost that feeling and it's good to be back .....
