Right I'm just sat here listening to a mix and all of a sudden my screen goes blank. No warning, no blue screen - just blank. WTF? That's never happened to me before. :S

And what's worse is that I've lost me places in queues on Soulseek coz I had to reset... :(

aaah..thats a case of electron altitude phase down....

as the cable comes up to the computer from the wall..if an electron becomes weak it falls and takes all the others behind it........leaving a gap of electricity in the cables.......so thats why it went off

Hmmm, you're making that up right? lol

The comp stayed on, but the screen was blank and the sound went off. And no, I didn't accidently turn my monitor and amp off. pmsl

just so ive got the jist of this one fella, when it takes all the others with it, how does it come back up considering all the others have gone with it so there none left?

Also how come a weak electron can force all the fully charged and abled electrons to go with it whilst its weak ?

Im no good with electrics you see

used to happen to me on me old pc mate - i'd download a mix or tune from soulseek and then listen to it whilst others were still downloading and i'd always get an instant shutdown. i was on win98 then but it's not happened since i've been on xp.

While I'm no expert on particle physics, I don't really think that an electron can "fall" like a climber off a mountain. As I understand it, the gravitational forces between particles (i.e. quantum mechanics) is way way greater than those between a person and Earth, or even between the Earth and Moon.

An electron has a mass of next to fuck all, so if you had one in your hand and let go of it, I doubt it would plummet to Earth in the same way as a brick. And I also don't think that an electron can just "fall" off an atom.

If you're meaning that an electron travelling up the (vertical) wire to my comp is affected by gravity, making to fall back down the cable, then I reckon that's bollocks mate! :p
