[QUOTE="Dave88to92, post: 845702, member: 19279"] Hi everyone, ive just discovered this sight, and its great to see a community of like minded old skool obsessed folk like miself. About me im 39 and originate from Rochdale,i used to rave at the hacienda,Thunderdome,Konspiracy,Blackburn, shelleys, the limit,The banshee,The wriggly worm e.t.c .I moved to londondn in 93 when jungle was exploding and used to party at labryinath in Dalston.I aquired my 1210s around this time and made it my business to aquire as many classics from back in the day as i could get my hands on,scouring about record shops in london, and at spin inn and eastern bloc back home. Now we have discogs it has made it much easier, but i still love the magic of finding an obscure classic whilst digging through the crates. My tastes are eclectic from old skool house to 92 hardcore to drum and bass and hip hop to underground garage and breaks. There is still plenty of quality tunes being made in the underground scenes if you keep an open mind.My last night out was jaguar skillz in sheffield and the Roses gigs at heaton park.Ive done about 10 glastonbury,s first one in 1990,the type where you have about 5 hours power nap in 5 days! Its difficult to get out much now with work and family commitments, but i still have the same passion for the music as when i was a yout.I hope to have some quality banter on here with some clued up bods and maybe put a mix on here at some point p.s my title intro was a homage to the mckenzies 89 classic!
