Nearer Than You Think .....

It's a very very very rare tune that im after, and if i acctualy get it, it would be worth more than a winning lotto ticket even could do for me

It's a Northen Soul classic played by only the very top of there dj's at wigan pier back in the 70s

Just Brothers - Sliced tomatoes

Extreemly rare tune to get original press of, and like Nthans tune, there are only around 7 copies known in the world to date. Norman Cook has two of them, so that leaves five golden tickets out there left

This tune is why Norman cook called his 97 hit "Funk Soul Brothers" his Bohemium Rapsody, it samples the tune as it's backing to the track to the song, and knowing the fact that he owns 35% of the original copies, it was pritty safe to say not many people where gonna be able to re-mix it

i would swap my life for a copy of the original, and have been searching for it the past 24 years now......i don't suppose anyone.....nar i guess not:(
it a classic of classics at the old casino you carnt beat a bit of the old soul can you heres the song for us all to n-joy http://s32.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=09jfeagqra5yq1neqp2h95tlly

I got this one from a junk shop for £1, assume it was some sort of re-press? says 1972 on it

Probably the same with Techno Age. I'm sure there'll be a good few copies about, but i've still never seen one and I used to go to up to 3 or 4 good record shops every saturday in the early 90's and sometimes midweek if I had a day off.

Anybody got a picci?:)

A MP3  ?!?!?!? ARE YA MAD For Fux Sake :|

LMFAO!!!!

First of all, Kons & Fred, hit mi up on MSN ;)

Now let mi clear out some misunderstandings about Orpheus as Maarten told me -

Maarten recorded the whole 12" on David Morley's brand new mixingdesk, after the session was done Renaat told them the twelve wasn't powerfull enough, to soft....so actually we must curse David and his new toy back then, if he only knew how to handle that mixingdesk ;)
And then there is a story of not cleared samples used on that twelve . .

The guys on Oggs who have a copy are mostly friends of Maarten from his hometown, there are some lucky bastards, I believe 2 lads, who found it elsewhere as there were some copies left . . . . . .one day I deffo will own a copy miself LOL

The samples not being cleared sounds like the real reason why there are so few copies about.
