i've seen it on numerous trips to manchester, but i've held out
its usually 35/40 quid over their

Thankfully i held out on denise lopez, also 30/40 quid
cos i've picked up 2 copies (promo + pic cover)for well under £20

I did pick up technoage 'movin on' for £20 in manchester
a few years back, I thought that was a bargain
and I still reckon i'm right..........................

I was too late by 15 minutes!!! There's this shop I go in from time to time relatively close to my area(not exceptionally good, hence ocasionaly) which had just baught an old hiphop collection of say 30 tunes - and in it was 3 mint copies of Young MC (and I mean mint unplayed crisp as you like originals) 2x King Bee - Back by Dope Demand minters and the rare Remix 12" with a good different bassline on it and instrumental version(?).
The shop owner had literally just traded them 15 minutes before I got there and some oik who was already in the shop was just buying the lot for £50!. The whole lot had gone by the time I left!.
I really wish I didnt drive like miss daisy on these occasions and had found a decent close place to park!!!.
Buggerations.....

Oh well, oneday - :drevil:

as with everything in life, you've gotta to be in the right place at the right time

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
2x King Bee - Back by Dope Demand minters and the rare Remix 12" with a good different bassline on it and instrumental version(?).
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

quick question:
what cover did this have on

i've got 3/4 copies

the 1st bass one, original Torso dance repress cover (bastards at HTFR)
plus the pic cover version 3 dodgy geezers with bad shaved pattened hair cuts

and the album 'royal jelly'

plus 'party people' (?) I think thats the name

plus i've got 'must be the music' (wicked for mixin in the extra rhyming verse)
(i'm off home tomorrow just to do it)

I've never heard of any other version or mixes of back by dope demand

'straight up mix', or 'funky bass mix' (?My memory's going)

there isn't another mix is there?

i'm after ultramagnetic mc's track which allstar fresh aka king bee did

From what I remember (the guy was not exactly letting them out of his sight!!!) the normal versions were the black and white thick card sleeve ones with sort of 'typed' effect lettering on.
The remix, however, had no distinctive sleeve but he happened to be playing it over the speaker system and it absolutely kicked ass! - there was just something slightly different about all of it - especially a great different bassline - very distinctive.
The guy in the record shop said he had never ever seen one before and didnt even know it existed, so it must be very *ultra* hard to get hold of - perhaps even an American only version or something (Which made it even worse for me knowing I would probably never see one again in my lifetime). They were defo original copies from back in the day.... Buggerooos and damnations x 1000.
The young Mc's were in red/white sleeves with fineprint writing on them and the price he got them all for was just insane.

Nah, I dont own it (bugger) and havent heard it and nobody ever seems to play it - perhaps it was just that then, but Im sure it was labelled as a remix12". The guy was totally 'creaming his jeans' for it!!!!.
You're perhaps right tho about it not really being easily slotted to a bowlers mix, but it spanked and got me nodding my head hiphop stylee without a doubt. Im convinced it was a different 12", but hey, you never know. There was some real gems in there if you were into old hiphop (I was, but not really anymore) original American promo pressings etc.
Not really hip-hop (nowhere near infact) but I got The Jason Load Experience - Mainline '90 (1989) for £3.00 - the only house tune in there and left by the hiphop heads!. Now thats a classy old tune innit?!.So it wasnt all that bad a day...........

See ya,

Sirius.

Everyone's a winner baby. I'm looking for it cause I want the instrumental, god yound mc had one bad ass bass player!!1 Have got principal's office and the absolute rocking bust a move both by young mc.
