I really like Gaugin, i love the colours that he uses.

More contemporary, i don't mind a bit of Francis Bacon, i have a pic of his 'Human Study' in my hallway. Obviously a copy lol not an original.

my fave would be the guy who paints all mad piccies like them stairs. All goin off in different directions. Madness.

Sister did art for a while and some of the books she bought home were full of great paintings. Have been the tate gallery too and there is some fantastic imaginative drawings/paintings in there.

Do like it when great famous paintings are slightly edited too. My fave picture i have is off the falling angels, which is re-titled to fallen angels. Is very similar to this but more cannabis smokin aids and vodka is shown on the table.

love contemporary paintings by peter halley (his written practice too is a major part of his work), ingrid calame, alexis harding and ian davenport in particular, as well as most other process painters producing work now .....

going a bit further back, i've always loved all works by antoni tapies, which knock you for 6 in real life ..... and perhaps my other major inspiration has to be jackson pollock, although i try and tend not to talk about him too much these days!

have time for a lot of good graffiti, particularly banksy's work, which you always manage to spot whereever you go, hehe ...... and spray artist katherina grosse whose wall pieces are top notch

Ah nathan showed me some of his work a few months ago, simple and from the heart, loved it

I love most forms of graffiti art. This site covers loads of different artists.
http://www.graffiti.org/index/artists.html

Last year when i went to prague i went to an artists exhibition that really took my breath away. The theme was dancing and movement so this was apparent in every piece of work. Everything flowed so perfectly and some of the images were almost abstract. Took the name of the artist down, but like the dim wit that i am, i lost it :p If anyone knows of any czech artists let me know :)
