Mine was at Scruple in Oldham at our own night, went on after Rick Jones and b4 recca. I was absolutely usless. Picked the needle of the record that was playing and everything:$ :$ :$

He he i remember ya telling me about that :D We all have to learn somewhere and tbh you sort of inspired me to learn as i could see how much of a buzz it gave ya. Playing the sort of tunes you know people will appreciate.

My first time was upstairs at hazy. Wat a wakeup call that was lol. I did enjoy it and got a right buzz watching you lot enjoying the tunes but it made me realise how far i was from being a good dj.

To me it acted as experience and since then i have kept improving apart from me off days.

I remember ben telling me the way he got noticed was to run his own night and play every opportunity he could to gain valuable experience. Its worked for him.

Good luck tonight zac. Let us know how ya get on ;)

Andy

first time for me was an outdoor illegal near me in a forest in wisley gardens - not to many people there (about 500 rufly) me and a m8 blagged a go on the decks after going to a few of these each week run by the fearteachers back in 1992 so we were playing quite early hardcore back then - to me nothing compares to playing out doors at 3am wondering if the police are gona come and stop the event which they did a few times - played in a few clubs since then and ill never forget that expeince - its a buzz on top of a buzz of playing - the same for me as normal raving tho back then - outdoors (with good weather of course) doesnt compare to anything else imo :dummy:

my first time was at timeless last november, and the week previous i was pooin it bigstyle, in secret obviously;) i told everyone i was well looking forward to it lol phones: i'd planned my set, recorded it and listened back to it all day whilst at work on the friday:thumbsup: defo reccomended imo ;) and by the time i got to timeless and being a totally cocky bastard, i couldnt wait to get on the decks. was even luckier at havin at least a 15 min practice, and a laaarge vodka, and was raring to go. everything went pretty much to plan, apart from a few nudged deckages by the stompers at the front:thumbsup: it was mint and i loved every second of it

Not that my memory is the best!!

It was at The Venue on Whitworth St about 1989 & it was an 18th Birthday party. I know I turned me from a scratch dj to a club dj overnight........them where the days!! What ever they were?
