I have downloaded a mix, but it is too long for my poxy 80min CD-R's. Is there anyway of chopping the mix so that I can burn it????

Some one help me pleeeeease!!!

What burning software do you have?
It's easy to chop it in two with Nero, soundforge or creative software. If it's only a few minutes over you can also overburn it. If you have one of the above i can tell you, although i am sure there is other software that you can do it with.

I would just chop the last ten minutes of hun then. Use something like soundforge or cool edit to do that. If you aint got them i am sure someone will take the mix of ya and do it. I would but i am not here tomorrow unless you an wait

i've used all of the methods outlined in this thread, that is until someone pointed me in the direction of thislittle beauty:

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/megamp3split.html

for unlike the others, which for some reason take an age to save into the edit thing this does it in literally seconds - just download it (it's free:D ) then open said music file - put a 'cut' in at the end or beggining or whatever and click on save icon - hey presto job done in 2 seconds :thumbsup: And the best thing is it keeps the original so you can have another go if you fook it up;) or alternatively you can do a few 'cuts' and save them ontop two cd's or whatever:thumbsup: :cool:

This program is very good, splits large mp3 in seconds well worth a d/l

Hi;
i use windows movie maker its really good; you basically cut the mix in half after attaching it to the time line and delete the half you dont want (burn that later) then save the project and burn the 2 halfs to cd;)
